A fire broke out at 06:40 local time on the second floor of a 3-storey row house in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia, USA. Firefighter and police team were dispatched to the scene. According to the statement made by the Philadelphia fire department, the fire was brought under control as of 07.31, and the lifeless bodies of 13 people, including 7 children, were found. Two people who survived the fire were taken to the hospital for treatment. At the press conference held later in the day, the authorities stated that there were 4 smoke detectors in the building, but none of them were working.
